Castle Point MP Dame Rebecca Harris has been named in the 2025 Women in Westminster: The 100, in recognition of her leading role within the Official Opposition as Conservative Party Chief Whip.
The official citation for the award, for which an individual has to be officially nominated, commends Rebecca's reputation for fairness and approachability which has won her admiration from across the political spectrum in the House of Commons.
Now in its sixth year, 'Women in Westminster: The 100' celebrates the achievements and the valuable role women play in public life by recognising one hundred women from across the world of Westminster, who are leading the way in politics and public services.
The board of Patrons for the awards have cross-party political experience from both Houses of Parliament, Whitehall, political journalism and public affairs. They select one hundred women from a wide range of nominations, people who have gone above and beyond; not just being great at their job, but who have led the way in politics and public services over the past year, inspiring others and influencing life in Westminster.
